Copy/Paste and Clipboard Support
For Android devices, with the Client Setting 'Hardware-Windows Clipboard Support (Win32)' set to a value of 'Copy and Paste', you can perform the following:
- Long press on any 'word' of text on the screen (not in an input field) and you will see a menu pop-up that will offer some options, more importantly 'Copy word' and 'Copy screen'. If there is a word in the clipboard, you will see 'Paste' in the menu as well. You want to select 'Copy word' to copy the long-tapped 'word' into the clipboard.
- Long press again on the screen and the same menu will re-appear. If you select the 'Paste' option, the word in the clipboard will be sent to the SmartTE Server as a SCAN INPUT with a 'Unknown' symbology. The input will be handled by the SmartTE Server as SCAN Input and be 'pasted'. For VT, the data is sent to the VT host, for 5250/3270/TESS, the data is enterd where ever the cursor is currently located.
Copied words or screens should be available to paste into any session and into external applications as well.
Windows-based devices require the use of shift and arrows to highlight and enter to select text. Multiple-lines cannot be copied.
