The StayLinked Administrator master administrator account can become locked and prevent access to the StayLinked Server. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The master account can be reset by placing a special blank file on your StayLinked Server and restarting the server process. This will end all active sessions on the server and would typically be scheduled for a time that would impact the fewest possible users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create an empty file name resetadmin.xml and place it in the config subdirectory of your server. Once the file is in place, stop and start the server process and the file should be automatically deleted. Once the file is automatically cleaned up, you will be able to log in to the administrator account with the default password of esp. For iSeries systems, this file would be placed in the IFS directory \\QIBM\\UserData\\Stay-Linked\\Config. Windows Servers would have the file in \\Program Files\\Stay-Linked\\Config.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend that you create alternative accounts and set the password expiration interval to your desired duration. Setting the value to 0 will prevent account passwords from expiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: Placing the file in the Stay-Linked Administrator directories will have no effect on the Server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the default administrator account still has a password of 'esp', but has become disabled, placing the resetadmin.xml file in the Server\u2019s config subdirectory may allow a reset of the account without a restart of the Server process. Attempt to log in with the administrator master account and esp password twice and the reset will take place if allowed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
