Server versions 14.5 and newer support Honeywell Pre-Licensed, branded and specially licensed products. There are two types of Honeywell licensing.
- Pre-Licensed Devices – These Clients clearly display Pre-Licensed on the splash screen when loaded with the Honeywell Software Client Pack (SCP) version of the Client software. These Clients are non-transferrable and do not consume a concurrent-use license when connecting to a v14.5 or newer server. These devices are configurable for multi-session connections. Installations serving exclusively pre-licensed device models do not need a license installed on the server.
- Honeywell – Branded – Some Honeywell Android devices can run a SmartTE-branded version of the Client. These Clients can take advantage of special single-session licenses available from Honeywell.

EDA61K SKU Requirements
Step one is to always make sure to run the latest client if pre-licensing does not work as expected. This includes both the server process and client version.
When reviewing the SKU, check the 3rd to the last digit:
EDA61K-xxxxxxx$xx
This character will be one of the following options:
• “E” = Red Honeywell Splash Screen and is Pre-Licensed.
• “D” = Red Honeywell Splash Screen and is Pre-Licensed.
• “G” = Red Honeywell Splash Screen Re-Branded. NON Pre-Licensed.
• “All Else” = EDA61 Green Client. Requires a standard StayLinked License.
Essentially, if it's E or D, it's pre-licensed. If it's G, you can utilize Honeywell-only licensing. Everything else is not re-branded.
You should see Pre-Licensed right on the splash screen for qualifying devices. See below, just under the client version.
If the gun doesn't show the Pre-Licensed, then the client isn't seeing the correct SKU and it will require a purchased license.
