It is important to note that StayLinked derives a serial number from the hardware on which it is installed. Any changes to a virtualized server can result in a new virtual machine hardware layer and can change your serial number. Set your virtualization software to reserve the primary network adapter hardware address, as this is an important part of the StayLinked serial number.
Proper availability of resources is critical to StayLinked Server performance. With the popularity of virtualization, server environments can be loaded on shared hardware; providing on-demand, dynamic, or limited resources to the server operating system. Delays in resource allocation are known to cause several types of issues. These can be specific to individual sessions or affect the performance of an entire machine during peak operating times. Additional details are available in the Server Tuning Parameters article.
