Overview
SmartHub is the centralized management and services platform for SmartBrowser deployments. It manages how SmartBrowser licenses are assigned as seats to mobile devices, enabling those devices to use the full SmartBrowser feature set for configured intervals. SmartHub provides administrators with a single location to manage seat assignments, configure SmartBrowser behavior, and support large Android fleets across warehouse, logistics, and retail environments.
SmartHub is designed to reduce day-to-day IT effort while ensuring devices remain productive, compliant, and properly licensed.
Core Capabilities
1. License & Seat Management
SmartHub manages SmartBrowser seat assignments across all supported devices.
- Supports Auto-Enrollment, Manual Assignment, and Reserved Licenses
- Central visibility into license usage and device status
- Configurable seat expiration and device check-in intervals
- Automatic cleanup of inactive or lost devices (auto-enrollment)
- Email notifications for upcoming license expirations
This allows administrators to align licensing behavior with real-world device usage.
2. Device & Fleet Visibility
SmartHub maintains awareness of enrolled devices and their activity.
- Tracks device check-ins and seat status
- Identifies inactive or missing devices
- Supports large, distributed fleets with minimal overhead
- Works across a broad range of enterprise Android mobile computers running Android 8+
3. Configuration Tool
The Configuration Tool simplifies configuration of SmartBrowser behavior on devices.
Instead of manually configuring settings on each device, administrators can:
- Create configuration profiles centrally
- Define browser behavior, features, and restrictions
- Package settings for deployment via MDM or staging workflows
- Ensure consistent configuration across the fleet
4. Centralized Configuration Management
Using Seat Management and the Configuration Tool together:
- Configuration changes can be made once and reused
- New or replacement devices can be brought online quickly
- Environments remain consistent across locations and device types
- IT teams avoid repetitive manual setup
