When attempting to monitor a session it can sometimes get stuck on “Waiting” at the bottom of the screen.
The monitor program may need to be added to the whitelist of your firewall or anti-virus programs. The packets that populate a monitor are an echo of what was sent to the device. The Waiting at the bottom of the screen appears if the packets are not received by the monitor program.
You can 'Allow an App Through Windows Firewall' and add the monitor.exe in the Program Files\StayLinked Administrator folder. There's also a monitor port range you can configure in the File > Options menu of the Administrator.
If all else fails, the share session feature in current releases no longer takes a license and uses its own dedicate session ports. This can be reliable and usually works in cases where the monitor is not available.
